| Description: | This is a unique and exciting opportunity for an Electrical System Engineer – Industrial Products to be responsible for electrical hardware and software design for interfacing fiber lasers to various industrial laser equipment. This would include control panel, cabling, power distribution, I/O design and software. This technical role is also responsible for understanding various systems’ electrical interfaces that are used by laser system manufacturers, determining the scope of new projects and presenting plans to potential customers for replacing out dated lasers with IPG’s new fiber laser technology. |
| Duties: | • Direct interface and liaison with customers at all levels from quotation to final design and test activities, design reviews and technical working group meetings to comply with requirements and specifications.
• Develop, maintain and produce technical documentation and systems/subsystem specifications.

| Qualifications: | • BSEE combined with 5+ years of system design and hands on experience.
• Strong practical experience with electrical laser interface, digital, analog and other industrial protocols used within system communication.
• Industrial laser experience
• Familiar with industrial controllers like Siemens, Delta Tau, Allen Bradley. Beckhoff and PLC interfacing.
• Familiar with a variety of positioning type systems like flat bed laser cutters, XYZ linear motors and galvo based laser systems.
